About Greg Bendel

Greg Bendel is a candidate for re-election for one of the two three year seats on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. Voting will take place on Saturday, April 27th 2019.
Greg and his wife Andrea (Dipasquale) both grew up in Wilmington and are now raising their own family here in Wilmington. Greg and Andrea were married at St. Thomas Church in July of 2015. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Charlotte (2) and Grace (7 months).
Greg grew up playing youth sports in town and attended St. Dorothy's Church. Greg attended the Woburn Street School and the West Intermediate School before graduating from Shawsheen Tech in 2002.
Greg earned a Masters Degree from Salem State University and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Greg is also a graduate of the MAVA Leadership Academy. 
Greg is currently finishing his eleventh year as a teacher at Shawsheen Tech High School in Billerica. Greg is also the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Shawsheen.

In 2011 Greg worked with others on the Wilmington 4.0 Campaign Committee for a new Wilmington High School. 

In April of 2011 Greg was elected to the Wilmington Housing Authority, where he served for five years and was appointed as the chairman of the board in 2014 and 2015.
Greg is a proud member of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus and has volunteered for many organizations including the Rotary Club, the Brady foundation, Local Heroes and the Relay for Life. Greg is also an active member of the Shawsheen Tech Alumni Committee. 

In 2016 Greg was elected to his first term as a member of the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. Since that time Greg has represented the Board on the Wilmington Public School's Superintendent Screening Committee and is now the Board's representative to the Town's newly formed Economic Development Committee.

Greg's wife, Andrea is an office manager for a small business in Wilmington. Andrea is also the Varsity Cheerleading Coach at Shawsheen Tech.

Greg has always been accessible to residents, attending countless meetings and all of the Town's major events. Greg has listened to residents, been respectful and worked hard to be part of the solution to the Town's challenges. 

Please consider voting for Gregory Bendel for one of your two choices for a three year term on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. The Town Election is Saturday, April 27th 2019. Polls are open from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
